Ordained as a Franciscan priest in 1980, Father Brian was incardinated into the Archdiocese of Denver by Archbishop Stafford in the 1990’s. At that time, he was pastor of St. James Parish in Denver. Father Brian is originally from Falls Church, Virginia near Washington D.C., but he has called Colorado home for over 35 years. Some of his favorite activities are: reading, hiking and planting in his garden.

Christina attended Assumption School long ago and has always felt like Assumption was her home parish. Growing up in Arvada, she moved to Conifer for 17 years then settled in the Thornton area in 2013. She is excited to be a part of the Assumption community. She has a well rounded background in human resources, accounts payable and over 25 years office experience. Christina enjoys racing a Dwarf car on the weekends to get her adrenaline pumping and spending quality time with her husband, Randy and their 3 children.

Born and raised in Durban, South Africa, Sandy graduated from Edgewood College of Education in Pinetown, South Africa in 1988. She taught in South Africa for over twelve years, emigrated to the US in 2001 and taught for seven years at Presentation of Our Lady in Denver. For four years, Sandy was the principal of Assumption School. Sandy and her husband Russell have 2 children both currently attending Catholic schools. Sandy enjoys the sincere sense of family and happiness that emanates from the students at Assumption School.

Linda and her husband Bruce moved back to Colorado in 2016. They are natives of Colorado and she and her family have a 40-year history at Assumption Parish. Their two adult daughters, Ashly and Lindsay live in Grand Junction, CO and Rocklin, CA respectively with their families.Linda volunteered and worked at her church in Northern California for many years. She was a catechist for all levels of faith formation including 10 years working with children and adults in the RCIA process. Linda worked as an assistant to the Faith Formation Coordinators and was the Office Manager/Parish Administrative Assistant for her parish for 13 years.
She hopes to serve Christ and the Church in her role as Director of Religious Education by helping good Catholics to become better Catholics, bring former Catholics “home,” and lead non-Catholics into the fullness of the faith.

Joe is a fourth generation from the Welby area & Assumption parish. He attended grade school at Assumption. Joe worked for King Soopers for 28 years, last 9 years for a family that owned an organic farm in Plattville. Joe has two grown children, and still resides less then a mile from church. He loves the fact that he can come and take care of a property that has so much meaning to him.

Heather received her degree in Music Education with an emphasis in piano and choral music from the University of Northern Colorado. She is the Director of Choirs and the Performing Arts Department Chair at Mountain Range High School. Heather directs multiple children’s choirs and is the artistic director for an arts organization that provides scholarships to young students of the arts and teaches composition and private piano lessons. Heather especially loves working with the wonderful Cantors and students at Assumption Parish.

Sarah is the product of Catholic education having attended it from preschool through graduate school. She received her undergraduate degree in Anthropology from the University of Notre Dame and earned a Masters of Education through Notre Dame’s Alliance of Catholic Education teaching program. Sarah strongly believes in the mission of Catholic education and is happy to share this passion with Assumption. Sarah has served in the Archdiocese of Denver since 2005 – and is blessed to be the principal at Assumption. Sarah and her husband are the proud parents of two daughters.
