Letter from the Principal
Principal: Mrs. Sarah Grey email: sgrey(at)assumptiondenver.org
My name is Sarah Grey and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to serve as the next Principal of Assumption Catholic School. Assumption’s mission to be the Heart and Hands of Jesus is one that personally resonates with me. I look forward to making this mission come alive and leading such a close-knit, faith-filled school community.
I have served in the Archdiocese of Denver for 10 years – most currently as the Assistant Principal of Annunciation Catholic School. I received my undergraduate degree in Anthropology from the University of Notre Dame. I continued my education and earned my Masters of Education through Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education – a two year teaching, service and graduate academic program. I am a proud alumna of Notre Dame and I try hard to make it back to campus frequently to attend professional development institutes in the field of Catholic Education.
On a personal note, I have been married for five years. My husband and I are proud parents of our 18-month old daughter and have loved every minute of raising our child.
The Office of Catholic Schools charges all Catholic Schools to excel in the four pillars of rigorous academics, strong faith formation, nurturing environment and reinforced family values. I plan to work side by side with Father Brian, our teachers and our staff to offer these four pillars to our school community at the highest caliber possible.
I am a product of Catholic education having attended it from preschool through graduate school. The opportunity to form and educate the whole child is one that I am extremely passionate about. It is my hope that this passion will support the school in unlocking the hidden potential in each of our students.
I am very excited to get to know the Assumption School and Parish Community. Parents are the first and primary educator in a child’s life so I look forward to working closely with you to be an extension of that formation.
I ask for your prayers as I make the transition into this new leadership position. You can trust that I have the entire Assumption community in my prayers also.
