Give God A Second Thought!

Parish Mission:

by Fr. John Collins, C.S.P.
Monday, December 12th – Wednesday December 14th
Morning Session: After 9:00am Mass (including Monday)
Evening Session: 7:00pm each evening

This Mission is a unique and timely opportunity to revisit our roots and evaluate our relationship with God and each other.

This Mission is also unique due to the fact that it is being conducted by Paulist Father John Collins whose approach is humorous, down to earth and a joy to behold.
parish-mission
Father John will be preaching at all of the Masses the weekend prior to the 3 day Mission so you can evaluate first hand how enjoyable this Mission promises to be.

Don’t hesitate to bing a friend who might have wandered away from the Church. This might be the golden opportunity for that person to find peace and a way home, back to the church.

There is no need to sign up ahead of time, just mark the dates on your calendar and prepare for a positive, uplifting series of sessions. You’ll be glad you did!

The Marian Jubilee!

Hail Mary, full of grace the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are thou among women . . .

. . . and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners . . .

. . . now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

One way the pope wants to show the church’s “maternal solicitude” is to send out “missionaries of mercy” that is, specially selected priests who will preach and teach about God’s mercy throughout the year. They will be given special authority, the pope said, “to pardon even those sins reserved to the Holy See.”
Dates:
October 8th-9th, 2016

Mass at Mother Cabrini Shrine

mother_cabrini_shrine

– June 26th at 10:00am

Father Brian Morrow will be celebrating Mass at Mother Cabrini Shrine, 20189 Cabrini Boulevard in Golden, CO 80401. There will be a collection taken during Mass as a donation to the shrine.

Following Mass, participants will be served a lunch prepared at the dining hall by the Mother Cabrini Shrine staff. Please RSVP to Assumption Parish Office (303.288.2442) by June 17th.
Lunch will be $10 per person.

Mother Cabrini Shrine is a shrine to Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini, known as Mother Cabrini. Mother Cabrini loved the mountains of Colorado. During her journeys in 1902 to visit the Italian workers and their families in the Clear Creek, Argentine, and South Park mining districts, Frances X. Cabrini discovered a property on the east slope of Lookout Mountain owned by the town of Golden and purchased it as a summer camp for her charges at the Queen of Heaven Orphanage in Denver, CO.

The fresh water spring she established has never stopped running. Many pilgrims, through their faith, believe the water has brought healing and peace to their lives.
